A little about me and and what I do
Hello, and welcome to my website. I'm Steve Durr, a passionate web developer offering a professional, friendly and personal service from Nottinghamshire, England. I specialise in building online applications for all walks of life, be that a small personal "CV" website, an online shop or a totally bespoke website/application.
The projects I have worked on, be that in my spare time or my professional career cover a variety of technologies. For the most I work with OOP PHP, mySQL, HTML (4 and 5), CSS/CSS3, and jQuery. The work I do covers content management systems, ecommerce and bespoke web applications.
I began my career as a web developer in 2008 after spending many years in a commercial environment. I attended Sheffield Hallam University where I studied for a BSc (Honours) Computing degree. I already possessed a desire of all things IT and wanted to move this in to the world of web development. On leaving university I undertook a couple of freelance projects before moving in to a full time position as a web developer, with Niddocks Internet Solutions.
I am currently working and hold a position as Senior Web Developer for Oxygen thinking. Taking design concepts I lead a small team that creates and supports online applications for a variety of clients.
In my spare time I enjoy developing my web skills further by working on freelance projects and reading various industry related blogs. I am also keen on developing my photography skills. I've never taken an active interest in taking photos but recently received a camera as a gift and have decided to put it to use. Click here to take a look at my latest pictures.
